First Quarter Super Update

Whoa- can anyone tell us where did the first three months of 2009 disappeared to?

As you can probably tell, things have been a wee bit hectic here in Frontier Active town, what with a whole gamut of brand new clients, not to mention some perennial favourites putting the team to the test with a broad range of exciting new projects.

In the 'old friends' column, the epic Wheeldemon site has recently scored a comprehensive dealer section, incorporating all sorts of online ordering and stocktake functionality.

Heliexperiences has also expanded substantially, adding four additional sites to their range of Melbourne based helicopter services.

Over at THQ Games, we've put together a stack of very shiny indeed banner ads for the WWE Legends and Resident Evil 5.

Site roll outs for some of our new friends have included General Surgeons Australia, a comprehensive database for all your surgical requirements; Be The Hero, an educational initiative of the Victorian Womens' Trust, the self explanatory Wellington Accountants, and AFI (Alternative Fuel Innovations), a recently launched green energy business who debuted at the Melbourne Motor Show.

Coming later in the year, we're excited to announce that we're in the process of putting together new sites for Youth Beyond Blue, TSG, York Fitness, Dew South and Salonmart.

And finally, for now at least, we're thrilled to announce that, building on 2008's successful site redo, we've secured this year's Falls Festival '09 on and offline campaigns, encompassing all sorts of new challenges for the months ahead!

Free Your Inner Sinner!

The second entry in THQ's trailblazing Saints Row franchise, this site broke plenty of new promotional ground for the epic, political correctness eschewing crime saga.

With a huge, integrated database of game footage and a chunky Flash interface, Saints Row 2 looks the goods and delivers a heavy duty, custom built competition mechanic that allows the user to generate an endless array of hilarious video content.

The Falls Festival

The Falls Festival 2008 site is a custom built, content managed online juggernaut for the epic New Year's Eve music event.

Featuring a huge database of content fed from a single admin, a swanky, lovingly crafted vintage-look Flash interface and a wealth of back end artist management oriented grunt, the Falls site clocked up over a quarter of a million hits in August and September '08, earning it a Hitwise gong for those months.

Wheeldemon is a monster showcase for YHI's range of imported wheels and tyres.

The site combines catalogue management with social networking and plenty of user generated content on the front end.

Under the hood, you'll find a finely tuned wholesaler ordering and profile management system hooked up to the existing offline inventory database, all driven by site architecture utilising Joomla and ExtJS.

Hunter Toys

With a gorgeous, illustrated Flash interface lovingly developed in house, this database fed site for the Hunter Toys empire showcases an entire galaxy of kid oriented fun!

From the engaging, surprise packed front end to Flash games, social functionality, frequently updated promotions and competitions, not to mention plenty of info on all the latest and greatest Hunter Toys!

On the client side, we've developed a full host of back end features, including full user activity tracking, message board moderation, a viral promotions engine, content/ promo management and CRM (customer relationship management), all packed into an elegant admin solution.

Definitely a case of website as art object!
